Nevers Pilgrimage
When St Bernadette left Lourdes in 1866 she travelled 350 miles north to Nevers. It was here that she joined the community of the Sisters of Charity at St Gildard's Convent and spent the rest of her life living a simple life entirely consecrated to God as an enclosed nun.
St Bernadette died on 16th April 1879. Her incorrupt body now rests in a glass casket in the convent chapel.

Coach tours
For those who prefer to travel by coach, we have arranged a series of coach tours to the Shrines of France. These tours depart from Manchester with the possibility of pick ups at other places en-route as required.
