Our Lady's apparitions at Fatima began on 13th May 1917, the first of six appearances to three peasant children.
She spoke of the need for peace and an end to sin and asked the children to say the Rosary every day.
Each month from May to October, on the night of the 12th and the morning of the 13th, huge crowds gather in the Sanctuary in Fatima to celebrate the anniversary of the apparitions. These ceremonies are the highlight of our Fatima programe. More...
Our 7-night programme includes a full-day coach excursion to mediaeval Obidos, a picturesque fortified hilltop town with commanding views of the coast and surrounding countryside, with the colourful seaside fishing village of Nazare.
There is an optional excursion to Lisbon, the country's capital city, where you will see the birthplace of St Anthony of Padua and monuments to Portugal's glorious past - the majestic Jeronimos Monastery, Belem Tower and the Monument to the Navigators. If only a few people wish to visit Lisbon there is regular bus service which people can use.
