Tour Details
Our itinerary consists of 5 nights
in Rome with half board
accommodation including the
Holy Father’s general audience, a
visit to St Peters Basilica, the
greatest church in Christendom,
including Michelangelo’s
sculpture of the Pieta.
Full-day sightseeing tour to the
great Basilicas of St Mary Major, St
John Lateran and St Pauls outsidethe-
wall: Tre Fontain - on the site
of St Paul’s execution; the Scala
Sancta; the Colosseum; the Trevi
Fountain and Piazza Venezia - the
geographical centre of the city.
Optional excursions include - The
Vatican Museums and the Sistine
Chapel; A visit to one of the
Catacombs - the ancient Christian
burial-grounds. Optional evening visit to Piazza
Navonna, which is famous for
its street artists and lovely
fountains.
2 nights half board accommodation in Assisi
including a
visit to the
Basilica at
Santa
Angeli, on
the plain
below Assisi.
On the site
of the first Franciscan friary, this
church is built over the
Porziuncola chapel.
Visit to the Basilicas of St Francis and St
Clare, which contain the tombs of
these two great saints.
Optional visit to Saint Damiano,
the church re-built by St Francis
which later became the first
convent of the Poor Clares.
