2 Night Package & Ticket for the Passion Play
The nearest airport is Munich. There is an excellent train service to Munich Hauftbahn (main station) where there are services through to Oberammergau, although you will have to change trains in Murnau.
As the village is small and some 4700 persons have to be accommodated, the neighbouring hamlets and villages are also utilised. Taxis are available to take you to your accommodation and your host can arrange transport to and from the village for the performance (cost €20.00).
Dinner will be provided where you are staying, with breakfast the following morning. Your host will hand you the actual Play ticket and a translation of the text.
On the morning of day 2 you will be free to enjoy a leisurely stroll through the village, admire the many beautifully frescoed houses, visit the Parish Church of Sts Peter and Paul, the Oberammergau Museum, the Pilatus House Exhibition or wander around the shops displaying their famous woodcarvings.
Lunch will be served in Oberammergau followed by the performance which starts at 2.30pm. There will be a break between 5pm and 8pm when dinner will be served. The Play continues from 8pm till 10.30pm. Return to your accommodation for overnight stay and breakfast will be served in the morning.

Single rooms are very scarce and therefore you must be prepared to share.
